The Maria Abel Recital Series, sponsored by the Bel Canto Institute: San Miguel, returns to Casa de Europa for its second season!

Bel Canto singers, and recent Met Opera Laffont Mexico district winners, mezzo Daniela Cortés and baritone Esau Alvarez will join with pianist Mitchel Casas to provide an evening of art song and opera that is sure to delight! Included are works by Verdi, R. Strauss, Mozart, Schubert, Bizet, Massenet, as well as Hispanic composers and more. Come enjoy the singers we love doing what they love the most!

This is a very special event that is part recital and
part an independent film screening!
Co-sponsored by the Bel Canto Institute: San Miguel, and the San Miguel Met OperaTrust, this Maria Abel Recital Series will feature one of our favorite and up-and-coming young international opera singers, soprano Cecilia Eguiarte, who has recently returned from a very successful stint in Germany singing the lead in Madama Butterfly to great critical reviews.

Ms. Eguiarte, beyond being her vocal accomplishments, is also an award-winning film actress. As the star of Andrea Borbolla's film short MUDA, she has won acting awards at numerous international film festivals and the film and Ms. Borbolla have also won many awards. After what is sure to be a stunning recital, you will have the rare opportunity to view MUDA and hear Ms. Borbolla and Ms. Eguiarte discuss the film!
